Your Voice & Financial Support is Needed
What is CPA/PAC?
The CPA/PAC is the political action committee (PAC) of the Arizona Society of CPAs. It is an effective way to voice your concerns about political issues affecting the accounting profession. Financial resources, pooled from accountants with diverse interests and backgrounds, have had a significant impact on the legislative process.
Why is your contribution to CPA/PAC essential to the profession?
Each year, we face an increasing number of laws and regulations that make the business environment in Arizona more challenging and complex. By increasing our visibility in the political arena and being proactive, together we protect the integrity of our profession and improve the business climate in Arizona.
To continue our important mission, we need your support.
Your contributions will help elect candidates who believe in our issues - those who have actively championed our view in the past as well as those who are new to the process and understand our goals. The suggested contribution for ASCPA members is $40.
Your voice is important!
Your $40 contribution will help you and your business avoid paying a far greater price in the future. During recent legislative sessions, your contributions enabled us to open doors and achieve significant reforms for the accounting and business community. Because the ASCPA represents all CPAs regardless of firm size or type of practice, our legislative agenda for each session is aggressive. It can often take years for a bill to pass, despite how reasonable the concept is or how relevant it is to improving the business climate in Arizona. However, we must continue to be active so that when opportunities to make changes arise, we have direct access to the decision-makers.
