Your contacts are critical to the Society's efforts to promote or oppose legislation in the interests of the accounting profession and the public it serves. Only through your efforts can we generate the necessary clout to pass legislation that will benefit the accounting profession in Arizona, or block legislation that could be harmful to the profession.

Each legislative session has its share of challenging issues, a smattering of excitement, and no small amount of drama.
The objective of the CPA/PAC is to bring members, both as citizens and as representatives of the accounting profession, together for effective political action. Through the voluntary support of members, the profession's PACs are able to help elect candidates who share our concerns on major issues that affect the profession, its clients and you personally.
By participating in the Society's Key Person Program, you can have an impact on key business issues that affect CPAs, their companies and their clients. The Society is currently seeking members who can be a liaison with legislators that they know on a personal or professional basis.
This committee meets monthly to make recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding legislative activities. Members of this committee meet with legislators to help them understand the effects of legislation on businesses and individuals.
