List Serves
What is a List Serve?
A list serve is an e-mail based discussion group where members can ask questions or share information. Once you join a list serve, you may send an e-mail to a specified address (tax@list.ascpa.com) and your message will automatically be forwarded to everyone who has joined that list serve. The members of the list serve can then respond to just the sender, the entire list or choose not to respond at all. It is a great way to get advice from several people at one time or to share information with a large group that could benefit from the information.
Why Should I Use a List Serve?
A list serve should be used to share information or get advice on any issues you face in your practice or company. Maybe you are looking for a technology contractor and aren't sure where to start. You can send an e-mail out to the list serve to ask if anyone could recommend someone they use. There maybe a new tax law that you would like to share with your fellow members. Maybe you would like to discuss a recent ruling in a valuation case. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with your peers instantly.
How Do I Post a Question to the List Serve?
Once you join a list serve, simply send an e-mail to a specified list serve address (listed below) and your message will automatically be forwarded to everyone who has joined that list serve. If you need help or are having trouble posting a message, please contact Traci Baker at tbaker@ascpa.com.

LIST SERVES
Features of the ASCPA List Serves
The ASCPA list serve allows a member to sign up to receive e-mail messages as they are sent or to receive a daily digest. A daily digest is one e-mail message that contains all of the messages that were sent to the list that day.
