Mark Hoover,
www.wsj.com
Wall Street Journal (with no ink on your hands), do I need to say more? I scan each morning and look at it periodically throughout the day. One of the reasons that I love the Internet. I could never quite get in the habit of reading the paper edition.
www.guidestar.org
One of several Web sites that have source info on not-for-profits; I like this one because it is set up well and I’m used to it.
www.artjournal.org
A great way to stay up-to-date in the arts world each day; the webmaster searches the world’s Web site to come up with articles that pertain to the arts world. It’s interesting to see articles on the arts outside of the
I also have to put a word in for our Web site www.phoenix symphony.org. Although I don’t use it personally each and every day, it is how we sell tickets on-line, and amounts to about 25 percent of our single ticket sales.

My favorite Web site is money.cnn.com. (The old CNN Financial News Network.) It gives me all the latest economic information, e.g. oil and commodity prices, stock and bond information that I need, in addition to inflation information and Federal Reserve concerns. They do a good job of providing a snapshot of the economy mainly here in the
Roman Kepczyk, InfoTech Partners North America, Inc.
For IT resources, I get the MIT Technology Review at technologyreview.com. Emerging Technologies newsletter and for gadgets I often look to gizmodo.com.
Peter Harris, Johnson, Harris, & Goff, PLLC
Taxsites.com is an excellent site because you can go to any state or federal tax site from here. The format is consistent. Irs.gov/taxpros/index provides an IRS resource for tax professionals and a great “cheat sheet” for IRS information. Starpas.azcc.gov/scripts allows you to access and file corporation commission reports.
Dan Zelek, Myitaz
Ripoffreport.com is a great site for checking up on businesses and products. I use Zillow.com for making quick estimates of property values. Recorder.maricopa.gov is useful for a quick search of recorded docs.
ASCPA Staff Picks
Cindie Hubiak, president and CEO
I go to the Arizona State Board of Accountancy Web site (www.accountancy.state.az.us) every day to help CPAs with questions. Also, it’s easy to refer friends, family and CPAs to 360FinancialLiteracy.org where they can find helpful financial information for almost any question.
Jose Herrera, director of member services
Bankrate.com is a great site to get financial news customized for consumers. It’s comprehensive, objective and best of all, free.
Patty Gannon, director of publications
Pandora.com is a new music site that selects the music you want to hear (for free) and develops radio stations tailored to your preferences. The “stations” play on your desktop. I also love Flickr.com – a photo sharing site that has a wonderful community base and beautiful photography. You can see the latest pictures taken of current events from all over the world by some very talented professionals and amateur photographers.
Traci Baker, director of communications
Craigslist.com is a great site for buying and selling items like event tickets, furniture and electronics—they even have a spot for free things! Unlike eBay, this is for local sales. They also have many other categories, job postings, community section, services, housing and many discussion forums. Youtube.com is becoming the “next big thing.” It is a popular free video sharing Web site that lets users upload, view, and share video clips of all sorts (except adult or racy material), ranging from silly to political.
