Barbara J. Gonzalez, CPA, MBA serves as residential faculty and lead accounting faculty at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC). She teaches the introductory financial and managerial accounting courses. As lead accounting faculty, Gonzalez hires and trains all adjunct accounting faculty, as well as schedules classes and manages daily operations of the accounting program at CGCC. She began her 15-year long career in academia as adjunct faculty for various colleges in both the traditional and online environment, and now serves as a Co-Advisor for Arizona Collegiate DECA.

At South Mountain Community College, Gonzalez received two Pillar Awards, one in 2016 for learning organizations and one in 2018 for student success. She has also received Advisor of the Year for Collegiate DECA and was nominated for Educator of the Year for Private Career Colleges in 2012. Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with an accounting concentration from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting Degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Before going into Academia, Gonzalez practiced public accounting for seven years at Burt & Nagel, CPA’s, Ltd. In Albuquerque, NM and at Lundy Allard & Company, PLLC in Rogers, AR.

Clark, Lynn Fiordalisi

Lynn F Clark, CPA is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of experience and began her career with the New York office of Ernst & Young. She is a Residential Faculty in Accounting and the Accounting Program Director at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, Arizona. Lynn began her teaching career at the Arizona Society of CPAs where she taught Continuing Professional Education. In addition to teaching, Lynn’s background includes owning her own CPA firm where she specialized in working with small businesses and has extensive experience in both the financial services and healthcare industries.

As a proud first-generation college student, she has a BBA Degree in Accounting from Adelphi University and MS Degree in Accounting from Grand Canyon University. Lynn is also a member of the Arizona Society of CPAs, Teachers of Accounting at Two Year Colleges (TACTYC) and the American Accounting Association. Lynn teaches Principles of Accounting I and II, Computerized Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Intermediate Accounting.

Lynn was the club advisor of the Business and Technology Club/DECA Chapter and was awarded Club Advisor of the Year in 2019. In addition, she was awarded the League for Innovation 2021/2022 Employee Excellence Award and the Paradise Valley Community College Puma Praise Award for Excellence. For 2021, she was nominated for the American Accounting Association /J. Michael and Mary Anne Cook/Deloitte Foundation Prize, which is the foremost recognition of an individual who consistently demonstrates the attributes of a superior teacher in the discipline of accounting.
