Steve O'Neill specializes in assisting financially distressed companies in monetizing assets and representing entities purchasing assets from financially distressed enterprises. He has been one of the leading national experts on assignment for the benefit of creditors (ABCs) for the last 20 years, representing assignors, assignees and buyers of assets. His most recent ABCs include the infamous Theranos, Imax, Allume, Hired, Gigster, Common Networks, Teradact and Sutter Gold Mining.

In addition to his expertise with ABCs, O'Niell has more than 35 years of legal experience in the areas of bankruptcy, business reorganizations, out-of-court workouts and distressed mergers and acquisitions.

Previously, O'Niell was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, recognized as the Business Reorganization Law Firm of the Year in California in 2016. He was also distinguished as a Northern California Super Lawyer and Rated AV® by Martindale-Hubbell®. Steve is a graduate of University of California, Hastings College of the Law and UCLA.
