A. Carter Smitherman is currently the Chief Financial Officer for the Royal Oaks Lifecare Community in Sun City, Arizona. He has been with Royal Oaks since 2014. Prior to that, Carter spent 14 years in the public accounting sector in assurance and consulting services and briefly spent 2 years as the Finance Director at a local nonprofit arts organization. He has been a member of the CPE Advisory Committee for the Arizona State Board of Accountancy for the last 8 eight years and currently serves as Chairman of that committee.
