Ira S. Feldman, CPA, CVA, AEP, is president of FELCO Business Services, Inc. He was a founding partner in Toback CPAs PC, one of Arizona's largest local CPA firms (sold in 2000 to a national CPA firm), where he provided business and tax counseling for more than 35 years. Feldman has a long history as an advocate for small business. He has been a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business twice, founded the Arizona Small Business United and served as Director and President of the Arizona Small Business Association. Hockensmith, Robert F.
Robert (Bob) Hockensmith is the President of Robert F Hockensmith, CPA, PC, a certified public accounting and consulting firm. He prepares financial statements, offers payroll services, tax return preparation, litigation support, and financial advice to the public. He presently teaches at University of Phoenix for the School of Business. He is a frequent guest on both CBS and ABC TV, offering financial and tax topics to the general public. He has finalized a book entitled, 52 Pick Up – Tax Saving Tips for every week, to be published in the near future. Previously, he was a Consultant and Accountant with both Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen, CPA's. Robert served with the US Army, enlisting in May 1972 as a Private. After rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant, he attended University of Arizona and later received a commission as a Lieutenant in 1980. He deployed both as a reservist and on active duty, eventually attaining the rank of Colonel in 2002, and after serving 36 years, retired in 2008. He served during the Vietnam, Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom periods. After military service, he then joined the Department of Homeland Security as a Disaster Reservist, until 2013. Robert can also be found on the web and social media under AZMONEYGUY. He is married to Devin, a nutritionist, dietician and professional athlete. They reside in Glendale.
Zollars, Edward K.
Edward K. Zollars, CPA, is in public practice in Phoenix, Arizona as a partner with the firm of Thomas, Zollars & Lynch, Ltd. He has been in practice for more than 25 years, specializing in tax issues for closely held businesses and individuals.
Zollars has been professionally involved with both tax and technology issues, combining the two disciplines in producing the Current Federal Tax Development Update Podcast and website, dealing with current tax issues. He has been a member of AICPA Tax Division Committees dealing with tax and technology issues, and was the Tax Section’s representative on three occasions to the AICPA’s Top Ten Technologies project. He is also a member of the Phoenix Tax Workshop’s Advisory Committee, and currently serves on the Tax Legislation Liaison Committee for the Arizona Society of CPAs. Zollars was selected as a Life Member by the Arizona Society of CPAs in May, 2010.
Along with writing, editing and presenting courses for Loscalzo Associates, Zollars has written articles published in Practical Tax Strategies and the Tax Adviser. He has been a frequent contributor to a number of professional tax discussion groups, and served as systems operator on the AICPA’s Accountants Forum in the mid-1990s.
He has spoken regularly on tax and technology topics since 1996, speaking before conferences sponsored by the AICPA and a number of state society of CPAs.
Boyd, William R.
William R. Boyd, CPA graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After several years in private practice and with a national tax preparation firm, Boyd joined Price Kong in 1990. Boyd’s primary focus is on client service, preparing personal and corporate tax returns specializing in multi-state returns, as well as extensive expertise in successfully addressing IRS and State tax audit representation. Boy is presently a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Arizona Society of CPAs, the Tax Resource Group and the Phoenix Tax Workshop. Community involvement includes more than a decade of service on the Board of Directors for the Osborn Education Foundation. Boyd is an Arizona native whose personal interested include church and bowling.
Rolfes, Joyce A.
Joyce Rolfes, JD, CPA, CFP, is the President and CEO of Five Peaks Financial Consulting, Inc. Rolfes has more than 25 years of experience in estate planning and its related disciplines. She earned a liberal arts degree in three years at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After finishing law school at Creighton School of Law, she was a consultant and director of a bank-sponsored Estate and Business Consulting program for a major midwestern financial institution.
Rolfes currently serves on the board of the Phoenix Tax Workshop and has been a past Technical Coordinator. She is also active in a number of Tax Study Groups in the Valley and speaks before both professional and lay audiences. Rolfes has been published in both local and national tax journals on a variety of tax and estate planning topics.
