Robert (Bob) Hockensmith is the President of Robert F Hockensmith, CPA, PC, a certified public accounting and consulting firm. He prepares financial statements, offers payroll services, tax return preparation, litigation support, and financial advice to the public. He presently teaches at University of Phoenix for the School of Business. He is a frequent guest on both CBS and ABC TV, offering financial and tax topics to the general public. He has written 2 books entitled, 52 Pick Up – Tax Saving Tips for every week, and 52 Ways to Outsmart the IRS, both published in 2019 & 2020, respectively. Previously, he was a Consultant and Accountant with both Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen, CPA's. Robert served with the US Army, enlisting in May 1972 as a Private. After rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant, he attended University of Arizona and later received a commission as a Lieutenant in 1980. He deployed both as a reservist and on active duty, eventually attaining the rank of Colonel in 2002, and after serving 36 years, retired in 2008. He served during the Vietnam, Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom periods.
