Yes, both count as live credit.

A webcast is the stream of the live event with audio and video. Webcasts include checkpoints to monitor attendance. All ASCPA webcasts are considered “live” presentations.

A webinar is streaming audio (no video) of a class. Webinars include checkpoints to monitor attendance. All ASCPA webinars are considered “live” presentations.

Webcast/Webinar instructions are emailed to participants two business days in advance of the class.

For both webcasts and webinars, we highly recommend using Google Chrome as your browser.

An email will be sent within two business days after your purchase. If you do not receive your email with instructions, contact the CPE department.

You can either email us at ascpacpe@ascpa.com or call our office at (602) 252-4144 with the following information:

  • Name and date of the course you are canceling or transferring to.
  • If you would like us to hold your payment for future use or refund your payment.
  • If a substitution will take place, provide the name of person substituting for you.

Note: Cancellations less than two weeks prior to the start of the program are charged a $25 cancellation fee. Access to webcast and webinar materials will be provided via email two business days prior to the session. No refund will be issued once materials are distributed to participants. Substitutions will be permitted.

CPE Change Request

If you are registered for a CPE course and you wish to cancel your registration, transfer to a different CPE event, or allow another person to attend as your substitute, please use this form to let us know.

Please include the name and date/time of the event(s) you wish to cancel/transfer/substitute. If you wish to transfer to a different course, please provide the name and date/time of the event(s) you'd like to attend. If you wish to allow another person to attend in your place, please provide us with their name, address, phone number and email address.

Log in as a member; choose the course. Select “register other members from my company.”

Certificates are issued within 3 business days after the event. Note that additional processing time may be required for conferences or other large events. Email ascpacpe@ascpa.com if it has been more than three business days and you have not received your certificate.
