Karen Fann (R) – LD 1, spoke at ASCPA’s Leadership Day earlier this month. District 1 covers 8,000 square smiles throughout Yavapai County and portions of Maricopa County and Senator Fann resides in Prescott. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee. Ellen Carpenter, CPA and north central chapter president, talked with Senator Fann at lunch about issues impacting CPAs and shared how she and her employer, Dorn Homes, engages in the community. You can view our Facebook Live session of Senator Fann’s remarks where she provides insights on the impact of the Red for Ed movement on the budget and shares her opposition to a services tax. ASCPA leaders encouraged Senator Fann to address federal income tax conformity as quickly as possible in the 2019 legislative session.
