How do I reduce or stop email messages I receive from Connect?

Once you are logged in, you can manage your communication notifications here. 

A digest is a summary of emails from the prior days, delivered either daily or weekly. Real-time updates are delivered as updates occur. 

How do I change my email address in Connect?

Go to My ASCPA to update all personal information.

What is a webcast/webinar? Does it count as live credit?

A webcast streams instructor video and audio. Webcasts include polling questions to monitor attendance. 

A webinar only streams the presenter's audio, and you view an electronic presentation. Webinars include polling questions to monitor attendance.

How do I register multiple people for an event? How do I cancel, substitute or transfer a program?

How can I print my certificates?

Once logged in, go to My CPE Tracker. Select your preferred reporting period to find past events or courses. Look for the Download Certificate button under each course title. 

How can I see my upcoming scheduled courses?

Once logged in, go to My CPE Calendar for a list of upcoming events. 

How do I access my CPExpress subscription?

An email will be sent within two business days after your purchase. If you do not receive your email with instructions, please check your junk email folder, and then contact the CPE department. Learn more on our Self Study page

Do I have to wait to pass all four parts of the CPA exam to take the ethics exam?

You may take the ethics exam at any point. The exam must be taken within one year from the date of purchase. Please remember passing scores are only valid for two years in the state of Arizona.

Membership

Do I have to be a CPA to become a member?

No. We have affiliate and student memberships for non-CPAs. Learn more about affiliate and student memberships on our Membership Information page. 

When does my membership expire?

All memberships expire April 30. Our membership year runs from May 1 to April 30.

Is there a study group for the CPA exam?

No, but we would encourage you to look for a study partner on our Connect site for members.

Visit Renewals on the Arizona State Board of Accountancy website. You can select Change of Address to make the updates. 

Who represents the profession nationally?

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) represents the CPA profession nationally regarding rule-making and standard-setting. It advocates before national legislative bodies, public interest groups and other professional organizations.

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) is a forum for the nation's state boards of accountancy, which administer the Uniform CPA Examination, license certified public accountants and regulate the practice of public accountancy in the United States.

Meanwhile, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) is the independent organization that establishes and improves standards of accounting and financial reporting for U.S. state and local government.

What resources are available for taxpayer account issues?

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) has forms, publications and other tax information available. 

The IRS Practitioner Priority Service is the practitioners' first point of contact for assistance regarding taxpayers' account-related issues. 

The Superior Court - Civil Tax Department is the section of the Superior Court of Arizona that lists Arizona tax decisions by category including decisions on income tax, property tax, transaction privilege tax and withholding tax cases.
