I need to cancel/substitute/transfer a program. What do I do?

If this is your first time changing or canceling a course, please scroll down for the complete policy.

Otherwise, email the ASCPA Professional Development Team at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com or call our office at (602) 252-4144 with the following information:

  • Name and date of the course you are canceling or transferring to.
  • If you would like us to hold your payment for future use or refund your payment.
  • If a substitution will take place, provide the name of the person substituting for you.

Note: Cancellations for in-person seminars and events after the cut-off are charged a $100 cancellation fee. Access to webcast and webinar materials will be provided via email two business days prior to the session. No refund will be issued once materials are distributed to participants. Substitutions are permitted. 

When will I receive my CPE certificate?

Certificates are issued within five business days after the seminar or event. Note that additional processing time may be required for conferences or other large events. Email ASCPACPE@ascpa.com if it has been more than five business days and you have not received your certificate.

ASCPA works with various vendors across the U.S. to provide a robust catalog. For this reason, class times vary with some events starting as early as 6 a.m. We encourage all learners to carefully monitor start times.

Fees

Only ASCPA members and their non-CPA staff that are part of our 100% Club pay member fees. All other registrants pay nonmember fees. Payment is due upon registration.

Discounts

Members always save 25% off the nonmember rate.

The Arizona Society of CPAs offers an additional discounts off market rates on webcasts and self-study where permitted by vendors. Additional discounts and savings are offered throughout the year. We encourage all members to update their mailing preferences so they don't miss out on savings.

Event Notifications & Manuals

Event Confirmations

A confirmation is emailed indicating the course name, date, times and location. It also serves as a convenient CPE record. If you have not received confirmation of registration within two business days of sending your registration form or registering online, please contact the ASCPA Professional Development Team at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com or call (602) 252-4144.

Webcast and webinar instructions are sent two business days prior to the event and are separate from the registration confirmation.

Event Manual & Instructions

Participants receive course materials either as a hard copy for in-person sessions or a PDF document for webcasts. Depending on the vendor, we may be able to provide additional hard copies of the course materials attendees for an additional fee. If you would like additional copies, please contact the ASCPA Professional Development Team at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com  no later than one week prior to the course. 

Webcast and webinar materials are emailed two days prior to the event along with access instructions. Once webcast materials are distributed to participants, refunds are not issued.

How do I access my CPExpress subscription?

An email will be sent within two business days after your purchase. If you do not receive your email with instructions, contact the ASCPA Professional Development Team at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com or call (602) 252-4144.

Transfers

Transferring to another course may be requested via phone at (602) 252-4144 or at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com prior to the date of the seminar.

Note: Transfers from webcast to in-person are required to pay the difference in fees at time to transfer. The $100 cancellation fee applies if the transfer is requested after the cut-off date. A refund, less any applicable fees, will be made if the new course costs less than the one registered for previously.

Substitutions

You may substitute another individual if you are unable to attend the seminar at any time before the event. Please contact the ASCPA Professional Development Team via phone at (602) 252-4144 or at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com to complete the substitution transaction.

Note: A nonmember substitute will be charged the nonmember fee(s) when substituting for a member.

Credits & Refunds

Cancel CPE Registration

Canceled by the ASCPA

The ASCPA holds the right to cancel a seminar including webcasts. When the ASPCA cancels a seminar, you will receive a full refund. In the event the seminar is canceled, the ASCPA is not responsible for penalties incurred by registrants who must cancel travel arrangements.

Canceled by Registrant

Cancellations for in-person events will be assessed a $100 cancellation fee when canceled after the cutoff date. Cutoff dates vary based on event. When a cancellation is submitted, event fees will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment less any fees. Funds may be placed on the account by request only. 

Webcast and webinar materials will be provided as a download two days prior to the event. No refund is issued once webcast materials are distributed to participants.

No Shows

If you do not attend the event, refunds are not issued; however, you will receive the course materials.

Webcasts

Checkpoint questions will be issued throughout the entire webcast/webinar to monitor attendance. Partial credit will be given for partial attendance.

Note: If you experience technical difficulty during a webcast/webinar and wish to be transferred to a different event, please email ASCPACPE@ascpa.com before the end of the webcast/webinar. We will transfer you to another event of equal value so that you may have the best experience possible. 

What is a webcast? Does it count as live credit?

A webcast is the stream of the live event with audio and video. Webcasts include checkpoints to monitor attendance. All webcasts offered through the ASCPA are considered “live” presentations. 

When will I get my webcast instructions?

Webcast/webinar instructions are emailed at least two days prior to the event. If you register the day before or the day of a webcast/webinar, we encourage you to connect with the ASCPA Professional Development team at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com 

Do I need to download any software for webcasts?

No, all webcasts are hosted via your browser. We highly recommend using Google Chrome as your browser.

We encourage learers to test course access at least one day prior to the event. If you experience an issues, contact the ASCPA Professional Development Team at ASCPACPE@ascpa.com for support.

CPE Certificates & Transcripts

Certificate of Attendance will be provided for each seminar or conference attended. Your certificate will be emailed within five business days of the seminar date. Certificates of attendance can be accessed on the website at any time using the CPE Tracker.

A CPE Transcript of courses taken at the ASCPA will be emailed prior to the renewal date. Members can also access their CPE transcripts at any time on the ASCPA website. You can also download a copy of your transcript using the CPE Tracker.

Prohibited Event Activities

No Smoking Allowed

The ASCPA complies with the Smoke-Free Arizona Act prohibiting smoking in office buildings and work areas, including meeting rooms, employee lounges, classrooms and private offices.

No Firearms Allowed

No firearms are allowed in ASCPA meetings and events pursuant to A.R.S. Section 4-229.

No Pets Allowed

No pets are allowed in ASCPA meetings and events unless they meet ADA requirements as a service animal.

No Children Allowed

No children are allowed at ASCPA meetings and events unless specifically stated in the marketing material.
