Special Interest Groups & Conference Committees

ASCPA conferences are designed with you in mind! Joining a conference committee puts you at the forefront of crafting the conference experience. As a committee member, you'll have a direct impact on the most important part of the day - the agenda – by providing input on speakers and topics, and you'll encourage others to attend the event.

Committees provide guidance on educational topics and events specific to their specialty areas, such as tax or business valuation and litigation services. These groups meet as needed throughout the year, usually no more than quarterly.

You must be a member to serve on a committee. Not a member? Join today!

Tax Legislation Committee

The committee reviews and analyzes all tax legislation introduced each legislative session with the goal of providing nonpartisan feedback to policymakers on the mechanics, feasibility and simplicity of proposed tax legislation. Members of the group advise the ASCPA’s advocacy team on tax legislation and may meet with legislators to assist them in understanding the effects of proposed legislation on CPAs, businesses and individuals.
