We are seeking an experienced Church Finance Manager to join our administrative team and provide support in all major financial accounting areas, including account payable, reconciliations, donations, and reporting.

Church Finance Manager

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for all financial activities for an historic church in downtown Phoenix.  Supervision of an accounting assistant, volunteers and other clerical staff.  Financial support for the Senior Pastor, staff, congregation, ministry leaders, boards, auxiliaries and committees.  Interaction with committees and individuals in planning activities and events; budget and expenditure discussions with ministry leaders.  Also responsible for annual contribution statement distribution, bi-weekly payroll processing, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and vendor relations.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ year of work-related experience in church account or non-profit accounting
  • CPA is desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
  • Supervisor experience
