Your Role: You will be essential in helping to develop a more robust international compliance system and is part of the team responsible for monitoring both inbound and outbound international employees, communicating compliance responsibilities, reviewing records for accuracy and completeness, and supporting annual compliance. You will also assist in tax filings and responding to tax notices as needed. This position is heavily data orientated including reviewing, entering, reconciling, and auditing different data sets to track and determine compliance with various requirements. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure that the company’s financial practices align with international laws and regulations to avoid legal issues and penalties.
  • Manage and oversee financial aspects of cross-border transactions, including compliance with transfer pricing regulations and currency exchange issues.
  • Interact with regulatory authorities, tax agencies, and other government bodies to address inquiries, submit required reports, and ensure compliance.
  • Provide training to finance and other relevant staff on international financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for any statuary audit requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of financial transactions and compliance-related activities to support audits and inquiries.
  • Familiar with International Tax filings.
  • Support the monthly close process for the international offices, including the review of financial reporting packages, preparation and recording of journal entries, and maintenance of foreign exchange.
  • Partners with Accounting and non-accounting colleagues both domestically and internationally.
  • Understands foreign currency.

What Makes a Great Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • 2+ years of global compliance experience a plus
  • 2+ years Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Multiple ledger and multiple currency experience, including consolidations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced business environment
